Italian premiere
Sandy Müller voice Claudio Pezzotta guitar Emilio Merone piano Mauro Colavecchi drums Guerino Rondolone bass special guests Jaques Morelenbaum cello Marcelo Costa percussions | To live over the border of two countries and create a synthesis of the two cultures implied is the intention of Sandy Müller, an Italian-Brazialian singer and composer born in Rome and grown between Italy and Brazil. Musically speaking, Sandy translates her intention into the concept of Line, that gives the titles to her most recent (and second) album: Linha, a land of transition between the two countries and a musical encounter between the elegance of Italian melody and the rhythm of Brazilian music. The composer’s repertoire passes from bossanova to pop, passing through samba, in a musical arena where her long-time musicians meet, starting from the arranger and co-composer, guitar player Claudio Pezzotta. On stage together with them are three highly esteemed musicians of the Italian landscape, Emilio Merone, piano, Guerino Rondolone, basso and Mauro Colavecchi, drums. Two special guests enrich the elegant concert even more: Sandy’s producer, Marcelo Costa, a Brazilian percussionist who has been working for years with artists as Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia among others, and the Brazialian cello player Jaques Morelenbaum a long-time collaborator of Caetano Veloso, Ryuchi Sakamoto and Sting. "We all live in situations where at a certain point a choice of behaviour, thought, synthesis, and balance is required, and to me this means living ´in line´. Everyone has their own line. With this concert, I present you my Linha." Sandy |
