| UN VALZER CON LA STORIA - WALZING WITH HISTORY Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Italy′s Unity with a day dedicated to the Risorgimento: conferences and dances to relive history in the Palaces and the streets of Spoleto. Roma 800 with the patronage of the Mecenati del Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto (Festival of Two Worlds Patrons) with the participation of Richard Powers, Yvonne Vart and Donald Francis and the support of Stanford University Dance Division, Révérences, Terpsichore and Carnet de Bals On July 2nd, the association Roma 800 wishes to delve into History as well as rediscover some of the lesser known aspects of Italy′s Risorgimento: the dances, costumes and music. | In the morning, at 11.00 in the Sala XXVII Settembre of the Teatro Nuovo, conferences on the History of the Risorgimento as well as the History of the Art, the Music, the Customs and the Dances of the Risorgimento.. In the late afternoon, dancers in costumes of the period will promenade through the streets of Spoleto and give a dance exhibition of the 1800s in Piazza del Duomo. The day will end with the Palazzo Collicola hosting the "Conte Pompeo Campello della Spina" Grand Risorgimento Ball. |
