The project The Castle is inspired by the homonymous novel by Franz Kafka and contemplates a theatre adaptation of the book by Giorgio Barberio Corsetti, shaped like a walking show. | The various stops or stations will tell K′s adventures: his arrival at the village, the conquest and the loss of an unstable position, his encounters with the village inhabitants and the Castle′s ambiguous emissaries. Alongside the story line, we aim at creating an internal communication micro-system based on a mix of fiction and simulation. The Castle′s website will, from time to time, build an imaginary geography, a path, some kind of interactive snakes and ladders, with pop-up windows opening up at different moments of the show, which will be adapted to the web city map. Entering the site will allow you to move through the village like K himself, playing the game of his quest, through his petty victories and defeats. |
