"With the help of slang, love becomes earthly, carnal, lively and total.
The dialect dirties life with poetry, making it primary, susceptible to humanity.
Love can′t be translated, you can only betray it, abandon it, exhibit it, or devour it.
Dialect betrays beautiful language, tearing it apart, leaving it exposed and nude.
Long live the naked thighs of bare language!"
Filippo Timi has chosen the Festival of Two Worlds to debut a new theatrical event produced by the Teatro Stabile dell′Umbria: an original reading in Perugian dialect of the greatest tragedy of love of all time, Romeo and Juliet.
