"Barefoot in the Park" is a delightful sentimental comedy by Neil Simon which is based upon a text with practically perfect mechanisms.
The great impact of the relevance of the play is striking and surprising, sign of a timeless piece of work, which presents the theme of the dynamics of a couple′s relationship with exquisite lightness.
In this text, problems of different generations and different characters are confronted, here the multi-level identification emerges as a natural consequence.
The daily emotional complications in couple relationships, also in view of the practical and material difficulties of everyday living and the different way of relating to them, touches each of us, especially in modern times.

Because of this great confusion that now surrounds us, I find it very stimulating and interesting to arouse intimate and profound thoughts in the audience in a polite and funny way, through the use of drama.

"Being part of the prestigious Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto, the charming setting of the Cloister of San Nicolò provides an almost unique opportunity for staging this text.

This unusual and highly suggestive setting alone favors the immediate involvement of the public, and along with a stage project of great originality in collaboration with the Accademia di Belle Arti in Macerata, it certainly allows a narrative articulation of considerable dynamism and modernity"
