Teatro Nuovo: 25, 26, 27 June

Two years after the triumphant success of The Three Penny Opera, the Berliner Ensemble, Robert Wilson and Rufus Wainwright will present Shakespeare’s Sonnets, with the original music of the American song-writer Rufus Wainwright.

Wilson has selected twenty-five sonnets amongst more than one hundred and fifty composed by Shakespeare and has seized the opportunity to stage the few works which the playwright had not written for the theatre.
